"Just imagine if you knew you were gonna do something important with your life. Something amazing. Maybe the most important thing anyone has ever done. But there's a catch. Something terrible has to happen.

"You couldn't live with yourself if you didn't try to stop it."

b i o g r a p h y

"John Connor is leader of the worldwide resistance and last, best hope of humankind."

In the future, a computer system known as Skynet will wage war against humanity. Anyone surviving the nuclear holocaust will be plunged into a post apocalyptic nightmare. The survivors will band together in their fight against the machines. Eventually, spearheaded by the leadership of John Connor, the human resistance will be victorious. The machines will be overwhelmed. Skynet will be defeated. For Skynet, this will not be acceptable.

Before Skynet falls, it sent a Terminator, a cybernetic organism, an advanced infiltrator and killing machine, back through time to eliminate John's mother, Sarah Connor, thus preventing John from ever being born and ensuring its future victory. The resistance responded, sending one of their own, Kyle Reese, to protect Sarah. Skynet failed.

Skynet tried again, eventually sending another Terminator to strike a John when he was ten years old. Again, the resistance responded, the future John Connor sent a reprogrammed Terminator to protect his younger self. Skynet failed a second time.

From there, it gets complicated.

The depiction of John Connor found in this journal is drawn from the myriad of sources. These sources include the ongoing television series "Terminator: The Sarah Connor Chronicles", the movies, "Terminator 2: Judgment Day" and "Terminator 3: Rise of the Machines", and eventually the upcoming "Terminator Salvation". At some point, it may also reference the various continuities established in the Dynamite and Dark Horse comic books, "Terminator 2: Infinity" and "Terminator: The Dark Years" respectively.

Characterization and history may be based solely from one timeline or may blend one or more. All continuity notes will be marked for sanity's sake. Remember, the future is not set. There is no fate but what we make.
